Transcendent Active Featured in NorthJersey.com: A Dream Moment

Every once in a while, there’s a moment in business and in life that feels like the universe saying, “You’re on the right path.” For me, that moment happened this week when Transcendent Active was featured in NorthJersey.com. Mostly because I made the cover!!!!!!! Insert scream!

The article, written by the incredibly talented journalist and my dear friend Deena Yellin, captured not only the story of my brand but also the deeper message behind it: that modest activewear, modest sport skirts, and modest fashion are not just niche ideas, but growing movements that resonate with women everywhere. Most importantly, the title on the cover said it all; Exercising Modesty. Because to me, that is what it means to be modest. It is like the muscles I use when working out. The more I exercise my modesty, the more I get stronger. It is not a linear path, but something that takes time to grow. This really hit home for me!

I can’t even put into words how excited and grateful I am — but I’ll try. Here goes!

Why This Feature Means So Much

When I started Transcendent Active in 2020, I had no idea how far this journey would take me. What began as one simple style — the Mesh All Day Active Skirt — has since grown into a full collection of dresses, sport skirts, and modest workout tops. Each piece was designed to meet a real need I saw in my community: women who wanted to live active, busy, and adventurous lives without compromising their values or style.

For years, mainstream activewear didn’t have options for women who preferred skirts with pockets, dresses with sleeves, or workout tops that offered more coverage. I felt that gap personally and knew I wasn’t the only one. Creating Transcendent Active wasn’t just about designing clothes — it was about creating freedom. Freedom to run, stretch, hike, swim, or travel in clothing that feels both functional and beautiful.

That’s why this NorthJersey.com feature feels so affirming. It shows that the wider world is noticing, talking about, and celebrating modest activewear as part of the larger fashion conversation.

Gratitude for Deena Yellin

I have to take a moment to thank Deena Yellin, the writer behind this piece. From the very beginning, she approached this story with warmth, curiosity, and professionalism. She understood that this wasn’t just about clothing — it was about women, identity, and empowerment.

Reading the article, I felt like she captured the heart of Transcendent Active: that balance between fashion and function, tradition and modernity, individuality and community. As a founder, there’s no greater feeling than seeing someone tell your story with such clarity and care.

Deena, if you’re reading this — thank you. Truly.

Why Modest Activewear Matters

This feature also gives me a chance to highlight why modest sport skirts and modest fashion are making waves right now. For many women, it’s not about restriction — it’s about expression.

  • Practicality: Skirts with pockets, dresses you can throw on and go, tops that work for workouts and errands — these pieces make life easier.

  • Inclusivity: Not every woman feels comfortable in traditional activewear. Offering modest options opens the door for more women to feel seen and supported.

  • Style Meets Values: Choosing modest fashion doesn’t mean sacrificing trends or comfort. It means embracing a lifestyle that feels authentic.

When I see customers hiking in our sport skirts, running marathons in our active dresses, or teaching yoga in our quarter-sleeve tops, I know we’re doing more than making clothes. We’re creating a community.

Looking Ahead

Being featured in NorthJersey.com is not just a personal win — it’s a signal that modest activewear is here to stay. And it makes me even more excited about what’s next for Transcendent Active.

We’re continuing to design collections that meet women where they are — whether that’s training for a half marathon, traveling across the globe, or simply running errands on a busy day. Expect more modest sport skirts, wrinkle-free travel dresses, and versatile tops that keep up with your lifestyle.

And most importantly, expect a continued commitment to sustainability, community, and authenticity. Because this brand was never just about fashion — it was about creating something lasting and meaningful.

A Final Thank You

I want to close by saying how grateful I am to all of you — the women who wear Transcendent Active, who share your stories with me, and who continue to inspire me every day. Without this community, there would be no feature to celebrate.
